Why You Should Care

Paul Battan has just successfully had all his legal fees transferred to me. Tens of thousands of dollars.

Why does this matter to you?

Paul Battan has already gutted me of all my assets. He did it, so he indeed knows this. So why would he have all his fees transferred to me?

It is the end of the year, and tax time is approaching quickly. 

He will claim these fees as a loss on his tax forms. This means that the taxes, those that would have been paid to the federal government. 

You, my friend, are subsidizing an abuser's legal fees. Don't believe me? She readily admits being an abuser, and if the court would release these court proceeding, you, the tax paying public would know this.

You taxpayers also paid for the FBI, and likely Interpol, and many other law enforcement organizations to return my son and I from a medical evaluation. Remember that you can't spell FBI with the "F" for Federal, as in the sentence "You, the people of Thurston County, and this country, are paying for these federal costs with your tax dollars"

You may, in fact you should, suspect that I'm trying to hide a more sinister reason for my travels with my son overseas. 

Perhaps parental kidnapping?

Nope, and the FBI acknowledges this. In my effort to require full transparency in this case, here is the FBI officer that followed up overseas in 3 countries (on your tab) thanks to Attorney Paul Battan, Commissioner Schaller, and Court Inverstigator Judy Murray. 

He's a really nice guy so don't blame him.

Last, and this is not financial, but note how Paul Battan seems to speak for the courts in a none-too-subtle way in the beginning paragraph that heads up this page.

If there was any lies presented in these videos, you had better believe that Attorney Battan would have me in court for slander and libel in a heartbeat, which has not happened. A family attorney, unambiguously, is using my son as a pawn to remove videos that do nothing but show Paul's legal work in action. He has no legal recourse in any court because these videos present the truth)

I've found this to repeatedly be the case, Very often I would come to court to find Paul and Commissioner Schaller chatting it up prior to our scheduled time for the hearing. I was not afforded this avenue of communication. Paul would even state in court that he would email Schaller official documents to be filed in out case. I requested this e-mail address in an effort to have equal access to the court. This was denied.

Trivial?

Maybe. 

However this certainly gives the appearence that the commissioner's impartiality might reasonably be questioned, which would legally require the acting judge to dismiss (recuse) themselves from the case...except in the Thurston County Family Court, where a judge or commissioner cannot be compelled to remove themselves from a case, even if a motion is filed requesting this, and evidence exists that there is a clear conflict of interest. 

This is the wall of "justice" that parents have to deal with in this family court system, and this must change!

Parents are not criminals, if they were, they'd have more rights in the court.
